I’ve had a couple of sessions with Sally and absolutely loved them. She’s given me so much focus on. She really listened to what I wanted to achieve and tailored each workout perfectly…a massive thank you. I’ll def be coming back for more…Just brilliant xx

Sally was such an amazing Personal Trainer! I hadn’t been to a gym much before and was really nervous about it, but she is so friendly and knowledgeable about her job I immediately felt at ease. Sally is great at pushing you to do your best, whilst still gradually helping your confidence grow and not pushing you to limits that you aren’t ready to do. She is such a wonderful person to be with, each session didn’t feel like a chore at all and I looked forward to the sessions each week.

I thought I was the most unlikely of candidates for personal training. I’ve done very little exercise since school (I won’t go into how long that’s been but suffice to say it’s been a while!). I’ve had good intentions in the past, I’ve joined gyms and managed to keep going for a couple of months at best, giving a half hearted attempt at a workout, telling myself I’d done a good job and never really feeling any benefits. I’d been following Sally’s PT Facebook page for a while and wondered what it would be like to have a personal trainer but hadn’t mustered up enough courage to make contact. In March 2015 I was feeling particularly run down; work was crazy busy and I was getting over a bout of pleurisy which had knocked me for six. I sent Sally a message and we met to talk through what I wanted to get out of the sessions and the expectations that we both had of how we would work together.
I’ve now had over 20 sessions working with Sally and I’m signed up for the foreseeable future. It’s a funny thing, when I started I had visions of her pushing me to my limits (Sargent Major style!). Sally doesn’t do that; instead she gives me the tools and encouragement for me to push myself as far as I can go (she doesn’t think she uses reverse psychology but I swear it’s in there somewhere). I think that’s the key to what makes her so successful in what she does. I know the sessions are going to be challenging but I look forward to the challenge in a way I’ve never looked forward to exercise before (I do moan [particularly when there are planks on the menu] but she’s very patient!). We work towards targets that we’ve talked through and are invested in achieving. I don’t feel alone with it – it’s a team effort. The confidence boost that comes when I find I can achieve just that little bit more is hugely rewarding and there have been a range of other benefits too. I have so much more physical and mental energy than I used to, my stress levels have decreased (I highly recommend slam balls after a frustrating day at work), and I’ve noticed a difference in my quality of sleep too. We laugh a lot but work hard too. I feel better. That sums it up really. If you’re thinking about it go for it – Sally is reliable, dedicated and lovely to boot. You can’t go wrong with that combination.

Sally has been a massive help with my progress over the years. Nothing is ever too much trouble for her and is always there if I need help or just not sure.
I originally wasn’t a big fan of the gym and working out with people there, I always worried that people would stare but Sally would reassure me that nobody was looking and that there were others thinking the same. She put me at ease and now I cannot keep away.
If I needed to change my program because I got too comfortable with it she would be on hand to create me a new one with new challenges that would push me that extra mile which was needed.
I now look forward to the challenges that she puts up as it adds some variety into what I’m already doing.

Hi Sally
A belated thank you for helping me with an exercise programme.
I am an active 68 year old male who walks, runs and uses an exercise bike who decided that I needed some exercises for my upper body – mainly round the stomach area.
Although it was only help with exercises I needed Sally did a full lifestyle and exercise assessment to help her sort out a wide variety of suitable exercises. I may not do the exercises as regularly as I should but I have noticed that they are starting to take effect.
If you are looking for help on the fitness front Sally could be the Personal Trainer you are looking for, with her knowledge, attention to detail, sense of humour and a SMILE.
Once again thank you Sally.

After years of concentrating my gym training on bulking up and building muscle, I came to Sally to ask her to design some circuits for me with more of an emphasis on improving my physical strength and endurance.
Sally has designed me a variety of upper and lower body circuits, making use of a variety of equipment and apparatus which I could also incorporate to use for a full body work out.
She has included my favourite exercises as well as new ones which help push me towards my goals and has managed to steer clear of a few that I’m not so keen on.
During our initial consultation Sally asked me about my previous and current experience of exercise and asked lots of questions about my personal fitness likes and dislikes.
Sally provided positive and transparent communication and I feel that she listened to my requests and concerns. This is reflected in the sessions as they have been very effective in taking me further towards my personal fitness goal and has very much improved my overall strength and endurance.

I thought you might like to know how my first Great North Run went. Thanks to your training programme, I managed to do it in 2hrs 25 min 45 sec. The biggest issue I had was the volume of other runners –  it really didn’t thin out as much as I expected towards the end!
